HOW IT STARTED
Our founder Paul Browett was faced with the challenging task of being asked to compose and deliver his terminally ill twin sister’s eulogy all by himself. Having the privilege to tell his sisters life story was the catalyst for Paul becoming a celebrant, and this experience prompted Paul to train as a qualified celebrant.
With bookings coming in thick and fast…Paul then conducted hundreds of wedding legal ceremonies in Scotland.
Having established himself as a successful celebrant, Paul was recognised in the industry for his individual style of ceremonies and first class approach to giving his clients the most memorable ceremony possible.
His fun and quirky style approach to weddings, coupled with an unwavering attention to detail meant that couples were able to have the perfectly unique wedding ceremony they dreamed of.
Being passionate in delivering a first class experience for every couple and family who chose this service, Paul identified that there were still so many couples who wanted this type of ceremony, and became a trainer and mentor to others.
As well as winning awards for Best Celebrant in Scotland, Paul became responsible for training and tutoring many individuals in achieving their dream in also becoming a celebrant . Knowing that the demand for this style of ceremony is ever growing, Paul quickly realised that he’d like to do things differently from the other organisations, and Paul made the brave decision to set up The Scottish Celebrants Organisation; A team of highly skilled, dedicated professionals who will go the extra mile for their couples, and in doing so, will make a positive impact to society.
